First I sat in it, then he said, take it round the block!!!! So I did, what a fantastic car, so rattly and noisy but really comfortable and very good on the suspension. The engine pulled like a train but not a high revver. The steering was on the terrifying side of frightening. He had warned me about bumpsteer, but that was the least of the problems, the two inches of play in the wheel were scary enough. I probably didn't go over 40mph, but it felt like 100 with the aero screens. The rest of the car felt so sorted, if you could fit accurate steering, it would be a go anywhere car, I loved it.

Unfortunately, there was a big show over at Bourne, so there was a low turn out and I forgot to take a picture of a beautiful Consul Capri running a Cologne V6 and auto. A memorable morning and whilst I don't want a TR2, I do want that TR2.
