To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the release of the TR7 in the USA the TR Drivers club/TR Register and TSSC have managed to secure an Anniversary Parade lap around the famous grand prix circuit on the Saturday evening.
http://www.silverstoneclassic.com/
We will shortly be releasing more details about the parade lap but it will be free apart from an entry ticket for the day to the show. The Saturday will also see Status Quo preforming on stage (all part of the entry fee).

Well, not long now until the classic this weekend. We have an area on the Brooklands corner specific for the TR7/8. There will be flags up on the Friday for the TRDC and please(if your coming) find a slot and park up. If you have any problems I will be about.

The Track lap is on the Saturday evening and you should have a entry sheet with your tickets, if not I will have some available.

Most of all enjoy the weekend and don't forget your camera

Paul

Hi,

What a brilliant day of classic cars of all types and racing. We joined forces with the TR Register and was made very welcome, very busy with loads of great comments about our car's. Race cars were everything from early GT's to F1 cars no more than a couple of years old. My personal favourite were the 60's GT cars, the F1 car both reasonable modern one's and the 70's plus the Group C cars that were nothing short of awesome.

The track drive was unique if not a little busy with plenty of ' spirited ' driving behind the safety car, with the odd overtaking manoeuvre occurring, have to admit couldn't use of the 4.6 power as really a little to busy but she stretched her legs now and them 8) as the Go Pro footage I shot shows !

Ended the day by watching the mighty Status Quo !

A great day out, thanks to Paul for organising it, great to catch up with Andy and Kirsty again, in my diary for next year for sure :D Be good to see a few more of you next year.
