Billing accomodation - Full!

Postby REPLIC8 » 09 Jan 2015 05:40

Tried to book the Premier Inn at Billing last night for the TRDC W/end. No rooms available, also nothing left in any Travel lodge etc within 30 miles! Seems we've clashed with the British GP at Silverstone. What a bummer.
Looks like it's either camping (haven't done that for many years) or a very early start and just go on Sunday. [:(]

Oh no, the same weekend as the Silverstone GP? That will be a nightmare travelling up from the south.

Remember camping Pods are available at Billing Aquadrome currently £75 for two nights and still have availability?

Hope this helps, plenty of camping is still available of course usually £15 per night in advance or £20 on the day.

OK, I've booked a camping pod for 2 nights, got the TRDC discount so only £65, plus they're right next to the TRDC field. There are still some left.
Lets not turn this into a load of negative comments, I put it on here so people would be aware and have time to sort out alternatives and not get caught out nearer the time.
I'm sure with some forward planning we can all still get there OK and have a great weekend. I think we need to build on last years success and promote this as much as possible. This is still the best TR7/8 event of the year and we can't let the fact that Mr Hamilton is driving his car around a few miles away spoil our enjoyment. [:D]

Try checking Airbnb accommodation. Although started in Ireland a few years ago, it's world wide now and tapped as the next Google/Facebook multi billion dollar company. Used it for staying a last ABFM Portland last year and am thinking of renting out a bedroom or two myself when house reno's are done.

How did you get the TRDC discount Andy please? Did you book online? If so, is there a special offer code?

I booked over the phone, I guessed the code as TRDC2015 and they said that was fine. Not sure if it works on the internet, booking over the phone was easy enough, £10 deposit and pay the rest in April. [:)]

Hi,

Camp simple as that, as Stevie said its all part the Billing TRDC experience, will be there from Friday onwards ( as normal ). Best to get a half decent tent for you TRDC Camping Virgins, cheap is not always the best as I remember a certain gentlemen found out last year!! If you look on the left hand side of the picture it sort of got ' forgotten ' [;)]

Got a three man tent myself, lots of room and goes in the boot of the TR with loads of room to spare. Plus can be brought for cost of a hotel room [:)]
