Hi,

Another Wednesday evening another local car show [8D], this time at a local once stately home of Luton Hoo, in its Walled Garden and surrounding fields.

Inside the Walled Garden -

This time other than mine there were other TR7 and V8's

Some very nice cars there John
I'm not sure which one is take home.
Maybe the merc. Or the Lancia,
I also see there's one of Blackpool's finest, there i used to see loads of Vixen's driving around when I was Kid. I actually think they are the nicest looking TVR they made.

But is the Lancia real, or just a convincing Kit?

Hi,

Thanks for kind comments gents,

Yeah a replica Stratos, as was the Jag D Type but the Light weight E Type was the real deal and sounded glorious [8D] A few bikes there, lots of two strokes that I recall from a very miss spent child hood [}:)]

That Honda NSR 250 is a rare beast, sort of thing I used to dream of owning when I was tearing round on my RD350LC. [:D]
Now I wouldn't mind another RD350LC but the prices of good ones is through the roof.

Hi Andy,

With you mate, would love a 80's two stroke. A mate has a RD 500 in Kenny Roberts colours and was tuned by the great two stroke guru Stan Stephens, hasn't moved for years, would love to get my grubby hands on it but worth stuuuuuupppppiiiddd money [:(]

Cheers John

Yes what these things are worth today is a bit silly.

I could not afford to buy today, either my old Morgan +4, that I sold for one thousand pounds, or my F2 Brabham Cosworth, that I sold for $4000, in 65 & 67 respectively.

I had a Suzuki 'kettle' back in 75/76 but I always regret not buying a Honda GL1000 Gold Wing, not the flying armchair that they evolved into but the 'plain jane' early model.

Anyway I bought a GL1000 a month ago, it's an awesome piece of hardware thats smooth and pulls like a train and its only done 16000 miles in 35 years.

How chuffed am I[8D]
