Neil, the problem is that in Wetherby all pubs stop serving food at 6 o clock. Because we found this out in 2011, this year we had a barbecue on the Saturday night.
At Billing we always go to the restaurant next to the hotel, excellent food and beer at very reasonable prices. The more times you visit these shows the more you learn about where to buy food etc.
I enjoyed both shows, weather better at Billing but you cant win weather wise in England.

Hi Chris,
You certainly have a point - a good thread to start next Billing etc is where to eat as we all know what is it like arriving in an non familiar place hunMG.

Local knowledge is good & no doubt members around the Northampton area can recommend good county pubs for a meal out while enjoying a run out near Billing.
Carry-outs for the tents later !

Must say Wetherby / Boston Spa / Collingham / Spofforth / Knaresbough / Ripon have come on a bit with al fresco eating at night now [;)]

Hi,

What is it with the TR Register and venues that stop serving food ??? At Malvern apart from the Stock Man café everything else shuts up shop at 7ish. At Billing we always go over to the pub by the river, bl88dy good food, lots of it and as they normally have some deal on very little money. In the morning we walk over to Vinny's Indian restraint to have a full English both now a tradition [8D]

Cheers John

John, that's the same as most people at Billing, the restaurant is brilliant, great food and very cheap, don't overcharge for drinks either.
Must admit we know a very good restaurant in Malvern aswell. 2 miles from the showground.
