July 14, we had our chapter's car show. Numbers of cars was up 50% from last year to around 300. Might have been the fact we hosted the Club's AGM or most likely the sunny and warm (mid to high twenties) weather we've had this year (25 days of no rain and California weather).

Spot the Tiger with TR7 hood louvres and the car with the Wankel engine.

Slideshow here.

That has to be the nicest Mayflower I've ever seen. Yet another show that I need to make it to one of these years. Thanks for the pictures.

Nice pics. That is a really nice Mayflower. I've seen it at the ATDI the last couple years. But I got stuck behind it on one of the drives; I think it's top speed might be about 45 miles per hour, like my Dad's 1930 Model A. After about 10 miles I couldn't take it any more and finally had to pass and wave...

As I recall from the ATDI last year, that beautiful Mayflower has a Spitfire motor for a little more get-up-and-go than standard. What is that car on the other side of the Tasmin?

It shows up every year. If I recall right it's a conglomeration of different cars, built in the tradition of hill climb cars of the past. We had a club member who had a similar style car that was based on a Jaguar XK140 but he sold it for an MGC. Moved out of the area a few years ago.
