Joint Portland / Seattle Triumph Club Picnic

Postby Spectatohead » 14 Jul 2013 00:08

We had a picnic at a nice park about half way between Portland and Seattle today. I couldn't trust the TR8 to go that far at this point so we took the air conditioned Subaru. It was a great turnout with awesome food catered by a local establishment. Wedges actually outnumbered Stags for once (3 to 2.) Even without mine. I think they were all Tyee Triumphs from Seattle though. A very nice Italia showed up too. I took just a few pictures. They look a bit fuzzy. I need to stop keeping my phone in my pocket.

The Austin or the Pontiac? [;)] They made the rest of us non Triumph drivers park away from the Triumphs. Don't know how they snuck in.

Well it is a girls car. A woman in our club just bought it a couple months ago. Don't know why she was allowed to park with the Triumphs. The VW Eos and Porsche 911 and our Subaru had to park with the other non-Triumphs. Oh well, it almost blends in?

Like our Triumphs, the Solstice is now an orphan.

... and of course the other Pontiac sports car, the Fiero, is very Wedge-like. My next door neighbor was going to trade me his Fiero for a garden tractor, but then his wife insisted that I take their cat as well, and the deal fell apart.

Except with the end of Triumph production they added the convertible and at the end of the Solstice they did the reverse and added a coupe.
