Bright light city 2013
Charity road run
Bigger Better Brighter
Following last years successful road run and collecting just short of £500 for Donnas Dream House Blackpool.........
The time has come round again only this time Bigger Better Brighter.
We need more cars more people more money and more fun.......
We're talking sponsored chest waxing (oouucchh!!!!!) Silly hats/outfits decorated cars 70s style maybe (optional) Prizes given for the best presented.
A fantastic drive possibly around becon fell over the trough of bowland
and driving through some of Lancashire's quaintest villages, not forgetting lunch in a Lancashire pub shaking the charity rattle cans as we go.
...........As ever a drive along the golden mile in glorious technicolour taking in the fabulous laser shows and magical characters brought to life with power of light.

More to follow shortly charity still yet undecided date not yet certain and neither is the route.......
But one things for certain it's happening again....
So who's up for it this year....

Last year whilst on the run there was one guy who stood out from the rest of us not only because he was driving a smaller and some would say lesser wedge " Guido the Maltese mayhem " left his handbrake on (cough cough) sorry his rear brakes seized well the latter was his excuse, well anyway he persevered he got back on track then went the wrong way but still managed to meet up with us at the Lakeland Motor museum..... For his determination to complete the run and drive those little pocket rockets the way they should be. The Guido Cup was created and presented to him by Mr Len Curtis MBE founder of Donnas Dream House the charity we were collecting for.
The Guido Cup will return this year and will up for grabs a quirky addition for your mantle piece I think you'll agree (for what ever reason seems fit on the day)

Guido is a legend!

If we've still got the 7, or by a miracle the Vitesse is on the road - we'll be there. We really enjoyed it last year and recommend it to everyone...

Anyone not able to make it on the Bright Light City road run please don't let that stop you supporting us and helping a good good cause......
you can now donate safely with Virgin Money......

........by donating you will supporting by effectively sponsoring myself and Simon Bryan (triton7) for our charity chest wax.
Of which were kind of not looking forward to for some reason (AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!) I think it might hurt a little....

I took the Dodge out yesterday and drove this years run
Never before have I driven the main three sections in one go, and oh my......
Driving around beacon fell amongst all the trees/forest is reminiscent of the Lombard rally's and then over grizedale bridge also reminiscent of a lombard rally,
Then we hit my favourite the trough of bowland dosent need a description it's just pure driving roads it's what our cars were made for....
