Anyone never been then try and get along, it is simply huge with all major suppliers there, tech demo's, constant cars going through the show areana, auto test, concourse and the legenary Saturday night disco plus lots and lots more [:D]

Not sure about date for next year, but Zoe got in a couple of years back and she was not a member so i guess you dont need to be. She text last week and hopes to get along to this years poss too.

There is quite a bit of comment about this years TR IWE on the TR register forum, the Stag owners club are doubling up at the IWE with the Register but they are offering a discount to their members by subsidising each ticket.

The TR register committee also decided not to sell advance tickets this year which hasn't gone down well either, everyone has to 'pay at the gate' which may or may not cause entrance delays.

I have never been even though I have been a member for ten years but I may give it a go this year if we have some half decent weather.

On the Stag Owners Club Website there are details of Entry Costs - they are offering discounted entry.

Joe Blogs will pays Saturday £9 + 40% = £ 13.50p & on Sunday £6 + 40 % = £8.50p on the day I calculate.

Mmmm - not cheap + petrol if you live up North or the deep South [V]

If the TR Register Members don't get a discount entry & the Stag Members do -this new love match between the 2 clubs may end up in tears.

Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR13 6NW. Easily accessible and located approx 8 miles from the M5 and M50 motorways.

Pre-booked entry costs per person are:

Full Weekend Ticket £15

Saturday £9

Sunday £6

but children 16 and under will be free.

Hi,

I heard the same, our local group leader forwarded a letter from head office explaining that The Stag OC saved money on sharing there national so passed the saving on to members, they payed The Register full price for there tickets but still had money in the 'kitty' so passed on this as a discount.

Hope you can make it, only a handfull of TR7 and 8's at Harrogate and most of those were with the unoffical TRDC stand [8D]

The TR drivers club does have a invite from the TR Register to attend this event at Malvern, due to the Biling National been cancelled.

I do assume that the normal gate price will apply for TR Drivers club members as previous years, but if this is any different will let you all know.

Well I am hoping to go on the Sunday as well, so that could be 3 of us travelling up from the "Deep South".

It would be nice to go to an event in the dry - fingers crossed!

Full marks to the Stag OC passing on their saving which gets my vote & would make me join such a club.
TR Reg members aren't going to be too happy as the TR Reg must have saved cash by having a joint event too - even a few quid off for their members as last year would have kept them happy.

Anyway not my problem - but still sticks in my throat having to pay full price - don't see the animals in the zoo paying for the public to stare at them [:p]

If Cheshire Auto Promotions at Tatton can make a profit ( hopefully )on their shows with free entry to exhibitors plus give the Clubs a space to display, National Days for clubs may need a rethink.
We had lots of interest on the TRDC pitch at a mixed meeting in June which I don't think we would have had at a one make Event.

Trouble is the general public don't want to see rows of the same cars but a variety so maybe why Malvern entry is quite steep.

Don't mind seeing rows of TR7 's as that's my interest but rows of TR6's & Stags that's another matter.

Still swithering to travel down - 360 miles of Unleaded with 7 hours on the road travelling down / back up to Gods country & entry fee for 6 hours in a field - unsure if £80 is worth it for me [?]

Anyway good for the TRDC to get a pitch at Malvern so all can meet.

Although the little devil in my head thinks the Malvern Organisers would be more than welcoming to get an extra event attaction onboard with zero outlay & extra cash through the gates.[}:)]

Always the best event in the calendar. By the way, advance tickets WILL be availbale via www.tr-register.co.uk very soon contrary to popular belief!

Who's got enough skills for the auto test then???

It might not be "cheap" but there is no other event where you get as much for your money, this event is a lot more than just a row of the same old cars parked in a field let me assure you! Stay for the weekend and you'll quickly find out!

One thing I do agree with, it is boring the way the cars are displayed in rows of the same model. Try mixing them up a little please. The TR7s are usually pushed out near the toilet block at Malvern on their own.

I go every year for at least one day (usually the Sunday) and have been a regular attendee since my first one in 1986. You rarely get any general public attending if at all so why lines and lines of model specific (it never used to be). It just creats clicks.

Some very good points, it does stick in my throat the money some organiser's charge, i think Bromley this year was £14 for normal entry [:0] i was on the TRDC stand so only £2, if no cars turn up no show! In some show's in Europe i heard that you actualy get paid or fed and watered to display [:)] I have no problem with shows that are for charity but other people making money of my hard work sucks [V]

Although not cheap, I still think for a weekend entertainment, which is what you get if you do the whole weekend then not that bad.

Do we know if the TRDC has its own area for camping, although looks like i be on my own !!!
