British Invasion This Weekend

The annual British Invasion event will be held in Stowe, VT, this weekend.

I think this is the 19th year of the event which will attract some 500-600 British cars and 2,000+ people to Stowe. It's very entertaining and there's always 10 - 20 wedges there. Since there were 40 or so at The Roadster Factory this summer, it would be wonderful to have more wedges present this time.

The weekend event lived up to all its hype, but boy, wasn't it cold in the early mornings! This was the year to have a wedge; real heaters matter when the top's down on a morning like this!

A good 490 + cars registered and most looked a lot better than mine . The QE IV looked great from 50 feet away!

The night drives up to the top of Mt. Mansfield, and then over the very narrow Smuggler's Notch, were the high points of the weekend. Following TR-8's can be tough when they're all bored out by Woody Copper, but I had a wonderful ride nonetheless. I really opened up the Spider to 5000 rpm on each shift on that trip!
